Since Brexit, travel for Brits has changed. As of 2026, the 90-day rule remains the most important factor: you can stay in Spain for up to 90 days within any 180-day period without a visa.

New for 2026: ETIAS
The ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) is now operational. British travellers must apply online before flying. It costs approximately €7 and is valid for three years.
Longer Stays:
If you plan to stay longer than 90 days, you’ll need a specific visa applied for from the UK:
- Non-Lucrative Visa: For those not working in Spain.
- Digital Nomad Visa: For remote workers.
- Student Visa: For those enrolled in accredited courses.
