TRAINS

The trains in the Málaga region include two main types: the Cercanías suburban lines (C1 to Fuengirola and C2 to Álora) that serve local and coastal areas, and the Renfe high-speed trains (AVE) that connect Málaga with major Spanish cities like Madrid and Barcelona. In addition, there is the Málaga Metro system, which operates separately from the national and suburban rail networks.

  • Line C2: Connects Málaga Centre-Alameda with Álora.

High-Speed (AVE)

  • AVE: This is the brand name for Spain’s high-speed train service, operated by Renfe.
  • Destinations: These trains connect Málaga María Zambrano station to other major cities, including Madrid, Barcelona, Córdoba, and Seville.

Málaga Metro
