Welcome to Málaga Mia! Our mission is to help tourists discover and connect with local businesses on the Costa del Sol. To keep our community safe, respectful, and helpful, we ask that all users follow these Community Guidelines when posting reviews, submitting listings, uploading photos, or interacting with other users.
By using our platform, you agree to follow these rules. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or other actions as deemed appropriate by Málaga Mia.
1. Honest and Authentic Reviews
Users may leave reviews, ratings, and photos of businesses listed on Málaga Mia. All contributions must be:
- Honest and based on real experiences
- Written personally by the user
- Free from paid incentives or conflicts of interest
- Not written by the business owner about their own business
Fake, misleading, or incentivized reviews are strictly prohibited.
2. Respectful Behaviour
All users must interact respectfully. Content must not include:
- Harassment, threats, or intimidation
- Hate speech, discriminatory remarks, or offensive language
- Personal attacks on business owners or other users
3. Accurate Information
Users must provide truthful and accurate information in reviews, ratings, and listings. This includes:
- No false claims about businesses, including your own
- No misleading accusations or exaggerations
- No defamatory content
Businesses are expected to keep their listings up-to-date, accurately representing their services, hours, contact details, and offerings.
4. No Spam or Self-Promotion
Users and businesses may not use the platform to post unrelated advertisements or promotional content. This includes:
- Posting affiliate links for profit
- Linking to unrelated third-party businesses or websites
- Promoting services not related to the business being listed
Businesses may link to their own official websites or social media profiles, but external promotions must be relevant to the business listing.
5. Illegal or Offensive Content
Users must not post content that is:
- Pornographic or sexually explicit
- Violent or threatening
- Fraudulent or illegal in any manner
- Harmful or unsafe to others
6. Moderation Rights
Málaga Mia reserves the right to:
- Remove or edit reviews, listings, photos, or other user content that violates these guidelines
- Suspend or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly violate these rules
- Take additional action if required to maintain the integrity and safety of the platform
All decisions made by Málaga Mia in relation to moderation are final.
7. User Features and Responsibilities
Tourists and Visitors
- Can leave reviews, ratings, and photos
- Can report businesses for guideline violations
- Can message businesses via the platform, but cannot directly message other users without a listing
Businesses
- Can reply to reviews
- Can edit their listings at any time
- Can upload multiple images for their listing
- Must ensure all content in their listing complies with these guidelines

9. Changes to Guidelines
Málaga Mia may update these Community Guidelines at any time. Updates will be published on the website, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
